Between 3 and 7 July, Eurobike in Frankfurt am Main will once again act as a focal point for innovation, trends and networking in the global bicycle and light electric mobility industry. We spoke with Stefan Reisinger, CEO of the event organiser Fairnamic, about the programme and his expectations for this year's edition.

This year marks the 32nd edition of Eurobike. Over time, the trade show has transformed from a niche event into the world’s leading trade fair for bicycles and light electric mobility vehicles. Last year alone, the fair saw more than 1,900 exhibitors and 34,750 trade visitors over the course of five days, along with 31,840 consumers who explored the extensive B2B and B2C offerings at the venues in the German city of Frankfurt am Main. It’s an impressive development that is set to continue this year, as Stefan Reisinger reports.

“Over the past few months, we have managed to further expand the success of the last event and are now looking forward to excellent participation at Eurobike 2024. Therefore, we can already say that this year’s fair will be another step forward. Anyone who isn’t there is missing out,” he says.

Reisinger’s point is clear when looking at the programme. The organisers have made key improvements compared to last year. Over three days dedicated to a professional audience (3 until 5 July) and the following festival weekend (6 and 7 July), there will be top-tier conferences and networking events, lectures and workshops, an extensive test and show programme, and exciting bike races, creating a unique platform for global exchange and new experiences. Excitingly, among other things, the popular test track has been doubled in length and, for the first time, extends outside the exhibition grounds.

“With the future in mind, discussions centre on the possible dimensions of transformation as well as on focused action to initiate the necessary changes. The goal is clear: to gain influence at all political and social levels and to generate communicative reach for bicycles, e-bikes and light electric vehicles,” Reisinger explains. In this context, he highlights two key events: the leaders’ night on 2 July, which welcomes top executives from the cycling and e-mobility industry, and pink Thursday (4 July), a networking and discussion event.

A global meeting point in tough times

Additionally, fairnamic has intensified its collaboration with Messe Frankfurt to pool resources and further promote the global reach of the Eurobike brand. “Messe Frankfurt is a global player. Their expertise is a tremendous help to us because our goal is to expand our role as a hub for the global bicycle industry. The recently held Asiabike in Jakarta has shown how successful this can be,” says Reisinger. The intensified cooperation also aims to increase the international presence of exhibitors, he adds.

With the exciting programme mix and their global ambitions, the organisers hope not only to surpass last year’s event but also to send a positive signal to the bicycle industry. After all, the current challenging times for the bicycle industry also affect Eurobike. “I firmly believe that people need to meet in person and experience things first-hand. Trade fairs are perfect for that, and Eurobike offers this once again this year. In difficult times, such meetings are especially important, as it’s the only way to shape the future together,” he emphasises.

Online ticket sales are open

With the recent publication of the entire trade fair programme, advance sales of tickets have started for both visiting professionals and festival audiences. For the first time, the classic B2B day ticket (from €69) includes participation in all conferences held on the trade fair grounds during the days reserved for visiting professionals. Separate tickets are available for special events such as the networking events 'Leaders’ Night' and 'Pink Thursday' as well as 'Trading succession' and 'Investors lounge'. As an alternative, access to all events is possible with the Eurobike card.

For the festival weekend, single-day tickets (from €16) and 2-day tickets (from €24) are available. Both offer the option to include a ticket for local public transport within the operating area of the Rhine/Main Regional Transport Association (RMV). Families, students at school or in higher education, trainees as well as groups of more than ten people can look forward to discounts.
